Edwin O. Guthman dies at 89
‘An unwavering servant of nation and journalism’
Edwin O. GuthmanEdwin O. Guthman, 89, a Pulitzer Prize-winning newsman respected for his unwavering integrity and whose storied career included stints as a soldier, a public servant, an educator, and editor of The Inquirer's editorial pages, died Sunday at his home in Los Angeles. He was a member of the Class of 1951. Read more.

Landau, Founder of Reporter Group, Dies at 74
Jack Landau, 74, a founder of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, died Aug. 9 of complications from emphysema. Landau, a reporter-lawyer covering the U.S. Supreme Court for Newhouse News Service, was an early member of the steering committee. He was a member of the Class of 1968. Read more.
