Matt Sedensky

Matt Sedensky is a reporter for The Associated Press. He has covered Hurricane Katrina, the capture of the BTK serial killer and frequently writes about religion, youth issues and trends. Sedensky joined the AP in 2002 in the Hartford, Conn., bureau, moving later that year to Honolulu. He transferred to Kansas City, Mo., in 2004 and joined the Miami staff in July 2006. Prior to joining the AP, Sedensky spent a year interning at The New York Times editing on the Foreign Desk and reporting on a variety of issues. Sedensky has also worked at The Village Voice, Connecticut Post and Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel magazine. He is a native of Bridgeport, Conn., and a graduate of New York University.
