In June 2009, the “Working with Victims of Crime” workshop convened 20 Massachusetts-based victim advocates from community and court based institutions as well as 20 reporters and editors from print, broadcast and online media.

Saturday evening, Nov. 8, 2008 - Ellen Fitzpatrick's key note speech, "The Press and the Presidency" followed an evening reception and sit-down dinner. The evening ended with the panel discussion, "Press and Politics in the New Administration."

Saturday afternoon, Nov. 8, 2008 - After lunch, Leonard Downie, Jr. gave a key note speech titled "The Moral and Ethical Obligations of Journalism in a Digital World." The panel discussion "Voices from the New World of Journalism" followed.

Saturday morning, Nov. 8, 2008 - After enjoying a continental breakfast, convocation attendees were treated to a 70th anniversary video, produced by Lorie Conway (NF'94), followed by the panel discussion, "Preserving Nieman Values Through the Years."
